Sometimes your plans may change or unavoidable situations arise that necessitate having to cancel or change your trip plans… we understand that. We provide you with a generous 72-hour cancellation policy for individual bookings, and 7 days for groups, group deposits are non refundable. Please note that our trips depart rain or shine.

However, please understand that once your trip is booked we reserve your space, assign staff and resources to ensure your trip runs smoothly. Since few of these costs are recoverable at the last minute, cancellations or reschedules inside of 72 hours (7 days for groups) of your scheduled trip departure are non-refundable and you will be fully charged.

Although we rarely cancel our trips, Costa Rica Descents reserve the right to cancel any trips due to low or dangerously high water levels, weather and related conditions or insufficient bookings, a full refund will be made available in this event.

If we do have to cancel we will do everything in our power to offer a comparable substitution, and if we do have time we will contact you to offer a solution, unless river levels rise overnight. As soon as we know we will let you know and at that time you can either cancel with a full refund, or you can choose the solution that we have offered.

Although we take every precaution to ensure that you have a safe and fun trip, white water rafting does have inherent risks. A release/waiver must be signed prior to the trip and is a condition of participation.
